Sweet pic matey! Silhouetting it like that was a great idea, and has really worked to your advantage there. The only change I'd make would be to clone out those wisps of cloud on the right, I think they're too distracting. Otherwise, I'd be faving this right now! :)

Another 'lonely tree' photo but this one
i like very much because of the great
toning and the colour effect in the sky.

Did you burn and dodge it in postprocess
or how did you receive this?

The single cloud is a bit distracting but ok.

Very nice shot indeed. Like panopticum said, the cloud is a little bit disctracting, because it draws my eyes from the main subject. It's no biggie though. :)
I really like the way ske sky "opens up" behind the tree, making it look even more.. well.. powerful.
